    All about the 6 Day – Anzac Day Tour (22nd April).

    Discover the highlights of Istanbul as you tour its lively bazaars and magnificent architectural landmarks in this city that straddles both Asia and Europe. Then travel to the Gallipoli Peninsula to attend the annual Dawn Service, honouring the Australian, New Zealand and Turkish soldiers who fought here during World War I. This 6-day tour from Istanbul includes a fully-guided tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula to explore the battlefields, memorials and cemeteries, as well as a visit to the legendary city of Troy.

    1. 22nd April Istanbul - Arrive in Istanbul

      You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your accommodation in Istanbul, with the afternoon and evening free to explore at your leisure.

    2. 23rd April Istanbul

      08:30 You will be picked up from your hotel to begin a full-day tour of the highlights of Istanbul, visiting the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Museum, as well as the Hippodrome, Golden Horn and Grand Bazaar. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, with the tour finishing around 17:00 when you will return to your Istanbul hotel or enjoy a night out at your leisure.

    3. 24th April Istanbul – Eceabat

      11:45 Meet in the hotel lobby for the start of your trip to Eceabat and the Gallipoli Peninsula.

      12:15 Depart from Istanbul for Eceabat, stopping along the way for lunch and refreshments.

      17:00 Arrive in Eceabat, with free time to walk around this waterfront city and enjoy dinner before departing for the Anzac Commemorative Site.

      20:00 Depart for our sleep-out at the Anzac Commemorative Site where the Dawn Service will take place

    4. 25th April Eceabat - Istanbul

      05:30 Dawn Service (breakfast box provided)

      10:00 Australian National Ceremony at Lone Pine where one of the most famous battles of the Gallipoli campaign took place between the Anzacs and Turkish forces.

      11:45 New Zealand National Ceremony at Chunuk Bair where a memorial and ceremony honours those who lost their lives in the battle here.

      At the conclusion of both ceremonies, you will be transported back to Eceabat where you will check in to your hotel, with time to explore the town during the afternoon and evening.

    5. 26th April Troy Tour & Gallipoli Tour

      07:30 Breakfast at the hotel

      08:00 Depart for a fully-guided tour of Troy, exploring the 3,700-year-old city walls, the Houses of Troy and the Sacrificial Altars. Admire the Bouleuterion (Senate Building) and the Odeon (Concert Hall) and uncover the mystery of the Trojan Horse.

      12:00 Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant

      13:00 Depart on a fully-guided Gallipoli tour to visit Brighton Beach and its cemetery, as well as the ANZAC Commemorative Site and the Respect to Mehmetcik Statue. Stop at the Ariburnu Cemetery in ANZAC Cove and the Lone Pine Australian Memorial, then visit the Allied and Turkish trenches at Johnston’s Jolly. We will also visit the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial and the Turkish 57 Infantry Regiment Cemetery at The Nek.

      18.00 Be transferred back to Istanbul where we will spend the night.

    6. 27th April Istanbul

      This morning your tour comes to an end.
